The undergraduate curriculum in landscape architecture, leading to the Bachelor of Arts degree, centers upon creative and ecologically tuned design, and introduces students to the breadth of knowledge common to the profession. This program provides the necessary education for students interested in entry-level professional practice. Students interested in applying to the undergraduate program in landscape architecture should see Undergraduate Admissions at CED for application information and procedures. The deadline for applications is November 30. Note to transfer students: Admission to upper-division standing is limited. Acceptance is determined by the quality and scope of advance preparation. Students will be expected to have completed the University requirements, the Seven-Course Breadth Requirements, and the three lower-division environmental design course equivalents (ENV DES 1, 11A, and 11B) before admission. The remaining required studios and professional courses can be completed at UC Berkeley in two years. Students intending to transfer from a community college or other university must carefully plan their programs to ensure that all prerequisites are met. See the CED Undergraduate Advising website's admissions section for more information. |
