Italy, Summer 2007 Print

Professor Chip Sullivan took a group of 15 graduate and undergraduate students on a month-long tour of Italy. As part of the LD ARCH 137 summer course, the tour focused on the study, analysis, and recording of classic landscapes. The course objective was to develop a design vocabulary founded on classical principles of proportion that have withstood the test of time. The tour took students to gardens and historic sites in Florence, Tivoli, and Rome.
